It's a big building and we occupy a decent-sized space up there. The floor is mostly tiled, and it makes a clicking sound when you walk in hard shoes. We have several rooms partitioned off with glass and wood. It’s not the newest building in Chandigarh, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. We have a lot of old folders stacked up in the corner because we haven't gotten around to shredding them yet. The air conditioner is a bit old and rattles sometimes when it’s working hard in the summer heat. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background just to fill the silence. Sector 34 A is always buzzing with students and office workers, so there is always somewhere to grab a quick snack nearby. Our office isn't very fancy, just a lot of chairs and some whiteboards that have been erased so many times they're starting to look grey. We arrive around nine, turn on the lights, and stay until the sun goes down. It's just a place where we do our work and talk to the people who stop by for meetings. There is always a lot of activity in the hallway outside.
