J.S.K. Steels (P) Ltd.

We are over at 185 in the Industrial Area, Phase-1. It is a standard industrial plot with a heavy gate and a bit of a yard out front. J.S.K. Steels (P) Ltd. has been operating out of this building for a long time. The phase-1 area is full of similar businesses, so there is always a lot of activity on the road. We deal with steel, so the place is naturally a bit loud and messy. You can hear the sound of metal hitting metal throughout the day. We have a small office tucked into the corner, but it’s mostly just for keeping the ledgers and answering the phone. Most of the action is out on the floor. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the rain is really heavy, but we’ve learned where to put the buckets. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years. They know the routine better than anyone. We start early to beat the heat of the afternoon. By the time the sun is setting, we are usually locking up the main gate. The neighbors are mostly quiet, except for when their deliveries arrive. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We just keep our heads down and handle the steel as it comes in. There is no point in pretending we are anything else but a hard-working shop.
