Jagdev Singh & Sons

You can find us on Chandigarh Road in the Mundiyan Kalan area of Ludhiana. We are right beside the State Bank of India, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you’re driving by. Jagdev Singh & Sons has been a family name for a long time. My sons and I handle the daily operations together. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just us and a few workers out in the shop. The yard can get a bit cluttered with materials and old parts, especially after a busy week. We do a lot of heavy lifting here. The air in Ludhiana is usually thick with the smell of industry and we’re right in the middle of it. Our office is a small room with a wooden desk and some old chairs. We prefer being out where the work is happening anyway. People from the nearby villages and the city come to us because they know we’ve been here for years. We don't do much advertising. Mostly, people just hear about us from their neighbors or see the sign on the road. We work hard, often staying late if a job needs finishing. It's not glamorous, but it pays the bills and keeps the family together. We like the routine of it. Morning tea, a full day of work, and then closing up when the street lights come on. It’s a good way to spend the day.
