Infrastructure Development Corporation

Vinay Kumar lives here at Hno Bx 286D, and this is where we run Infrastructure Development Corporation. It is in Mohalla Ishwar Nagar, which is just off Dalhousie Road in Pathankot. It is actually Om Prakash’s son’s place. We work out of this house every day. It feels a bit different than a regular office building because it is a home first and an office second. You will find us in the back rooms usually. Pathankot is a busy place, and being near Dalhousie Road means there is always someone moving around or a car honking. Ishwar Nagar is a decent, quiet neighborhood for the most part. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with daily. The house is old but it stays cool in the summer. We do not have a receptionist or any of that corporate stuff. If the doorbell rings, one of us just goes to see who it is. Sometimes we sit out in the small courtyard when the weather is nice to have our tea. It is quiet enough to think and get the planning done. There is no big corporate vibe here at all. It is just us doing our jobs in a space we know well. We have got some old wooden furniture and some newer computers. It is a mix of old and new, much like the street outside our door. We have been here long enough that the postman knows us by name. It is a simple setup.
