Ias Study Point

Located right in the center of the city at SCF-58-59 in Sector 17, our study point is in one of the most well-known parts of Chandigarh. Sector 17 is usually full of people walking around the plaza, but our classrooms are tucked away in the SCF buildings where it’s a bit quieter. We focus on helping people prepare for their civil services exams, which means there is a lot of serious reading going on here. The rooms are filled with long tables where students spread out their newspapers and heavy reference books. It is a very functional space. We haven't spent much on decorations because everyone here is too busy looking at their notes to notice. The lighting is bright and we keep plenty of water around because the study sessions can go on for hours. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so many of us just take the stairs. It’s a plain atmosphere, no frills at all. We have been in this location for quite some time and have seen many faces come and go. It’s an interesting place to work because everyone who walks through the door is trying to achieve something difficult. We just provide the space and the materials they need. It’s a bit of a grind, but that is the nature of the work we do here. There’s always someone drinking tea in the corner while they try to memorize dates.
