Hare Rishna Band

We operate out of Sco-140 on the second floor in Sector 24D. It is a nice part of Chandigarh, quite close to the Valmik Mandir. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the street below. Hare Rishna Band is basically just a group of us who love music and spend a lot of time together in this space. The room is often filled with instruments and some old chairs. We do a lot of our planning and practice right here. It’s not a silent office by any means. There’s usually someone humming or checking a rhythm. The neighbors are used to us by now. We’ve been in Sector 24D for a good while, so we know the local shops and the people who walk by every day. When we aren't out at an event, we are here cleaning the gear or talking about the next performance. It’s a simple life. We don’t have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s just a place where we keep our stuff and meet up. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit steep after a long night of playing, but we like being here. The area near the temple is peaceful in the mornings, which is a nice contrast to the loud music we usually deal with. It’s just our base, a place that feels like home for the band members who are here every single day.
