Gurunanak Hone Tuition Academy

Our academy is based out of Sector-22 in Chandigarh. Being in one of the older sectors, we get a lot of students from around this area. We’ve been doing this for quite some time now, focusing on home-style tuition where the atmosphere isn't too stiff. We have a few rooms set up for different groups of students. Most days start with us setting out the registers and making sure the lights are all working. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside, but inside we try to keep it focused on the books. We don't have any big advertisements or anything. Most people find out about Gurunanak Hone Tuition Academy through word of mouth from other parents in the sector. We deal with primary and secondary school kids mostly. It’s a lot of repeating the same concepts until they stick. We spend our time checking homework and helping with projects. Sometimes we have to talk to the parents about their child's progress while they wait outside. It’s a very local operation. We know the schools in the area and what their curriculum looks like, so we just follow along with that. It’s straightforward work. We show up, we teach, and we make sure the students are prepared for their weekly tests. That’s pretty much the daily life here in Sector 22 for us. We hope to keep going for many more years helping the kids.
