Grainalco Spirits Private Limited

Grainalco Spirits is over in Sector 18B at House No. 552. If you walk by, you might not even realize what’s going on inside. It’s a fairly quiet setup where we focus on the grain side of the spirit business. There is always a lot of heavy lifting involved with the sacks of raw materials coming in. We spend a good chunk of our day just managing the inventory and making sure the temperatures stay where they need to be for the alcohol. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when it’s hot outside and the equipment is running full blast. We’ve got a small team here in Chandigarh. Everyone knows their spot on the floor. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but the actual production side stays pretty organized because it has to. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s more about the back-end work. We deal with suppliers and try to keep the supply chain from breaking down, which is harder than it sounds some weeks. The house location gives it a bit of a different feel than a big industrial plant. It feels more like a part of the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and get the spirits ready for wherever they need to go next. It’s steady work, and we’ve been at it long enough that the routine is just second nature to everyone here now.
