Foundation Tutorials

We started Foundation Tutorials right here in Sector 70 quite a few years ago. Our place is at H-101 in the Ivory Towers building. It is not some big, polished corporate office with a fancy lobby. It is just a simple space where we can sit down with students and get through their schoolwork. Living and working in Mohali, you see a lot of these coaching centers popping up everywhere, but we try to keep things a bit more low-key. The room gets a good amount of sunlight in the morning, which is nice, but most of our work happens in the evening after the schools close. Sometimes the noise from the hallway carries in, or you hear people moving about in the towers, but the kids are used to it by now. We have a few rows of desks and a whiteboard that has seen better days. We don't really care about having the latest furniture as long as the teaching is happening. Most of the students come from nearby or even from the same building. We just go through the textbooks page by page. If someone is stuck on a math problem, we stay until it makes sense. There are no big speeches about success here. It is just about doing the daily work so the exams don't feel so scary later on. Sometimes we have to remind the kids to stop chatting, but mostly they are here to learn. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place.
