If you are walking around Sector 19 in Chandigarh and feel like grabbing something to eat at Peshawari, you are basically right next to where we are. Our spot is at SCF 43/3. It’s a typical Chandigarh market building, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we’ve got a couple of rooms where we hold our classes throughout the day. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they could use a fresh coat of paint, but they serve their purpose. We have been here for a while and have seen the market change quite a bit. The students come in shifts, some in the morning but mostly in the late afternoon after their regular school hours are done. We have these old desks that are quite sturdy even if they look a bit worn out. It’s usually pretty quiet inside except for the occasional car horn from the parking lot. We don’t go for any of that high-tech stuff; it’s mostly just paper, pens, and a lot of talking things through. Sometimes the air conditioner is a bit loud but it keeps the heat away during the peak of summer. We just focus on the daily work. It’s a local place run by people who live nearby. It feels honest and straightforward, which is how we like it. Most of the time, we are just busy checking papers or helping someone understand a difficult chapter.
