Our company, Econ Tooling Systems, is located at Plot No. 348 in Phase 9 of the Industrial Area. It’s a big area and easy to get lost if you don't know the plot numbers. We’ve been in this building for several years now. It’s a sturdy place, though the roof leaks a little when the rain gets really heavy. We just move the machines out of the way and keep going. The team here is mostly local folks who have a lot of experience with tooling. We don't do much talking; we just focus on the tasks for the day. Sometimes things go wrong, a machine breaks or a delivery is late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear work clothes and get our hands dirty every day. The office part is small, just enough for a few files and a telephone. We spend most of our time out on the floor. Phase 9 is always active, trucks coming and going all the time. It gets pretty dusty in the dry season. We keep the doors open to let the air move through. It’s just how we work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to stay steady and do things right. It’s a lot of manual work and paying attention to the small details that matter. We just want to do our job and go home to our families when the shift ends.
