Our place is on the top floor of SCO 206 in Sector 36D. It’s a busy part of Chandigarh, mostly because MCM College is right nearby. You can always see students walking around the market or grabbing a snack between their classes. Being on the top floor means we are away from the noise of the ground level shops, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re doing it three or four times a day. We’ve been in this SCO for a bit now, and it’s a very standard Chandigarh commercial building setup. There’s no elevator, so we all just take it one step at a time. The rooms are filled with desks and books, which is exactly what you’d expect for an IAS prep center. We don’t put a lot of effort into the decor or anything like that because we are mostly focused on the syllabus and the exams. It’s a very practical environment. We see a lot of faces coming through, everyone trying to study for the civil services. The area around Sector 36 is nice because there are plenty of places to get tea or a quick bite when you need a break from the books. We just open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s a simple routine, and we like it that way. No big corporate talk, just a bunch of people in a room studying.
