Design Project 28 Private Limited

Our place is in the Motor Market area of Manimajra. It’s a very practical part of Chandigarh, lots of workshops and spare parts shops around us all the time. We are at Scf No.-399, which we share or run through Nirmla Devi’s property. It’s a commercial complex, so there is always something happening outside, usually people arguing over car parts or fixing engines. Being in a motor market might seem odd for a design firm, but it works for us. We get a lot of walk-ins and people who are already in the area for other business. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got a few desks and a lot of paper samples and drawings scattered around. We do various design projects, mostly focusing on getting the layout right for local businesses or homes. Manimajra is a bit different from the main sectors of Chandigarh; it feels more lived-in and maybe a bit more crowded, but we like the energy of the place. We’ve been here for a bit now and have gotten to know the other shop owners. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs while waiting for a client to show up. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us doing the work, answering the phones, and trying to make sure the designs actually work in real life, not just on a computer screen. Some projects take longer than others, but we just roll with it.
