Chandigarh Real Estates has its office at 12 Sector 17, right on the second floor. We are quite close to the Polytechnic Government College, so there are always students and faculty members walking around the area. Being on the second floor means we have to climb some steps, but it’s a good way to stay active during the day. Sector 17 is a central part of the city, and we’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. The office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We do a lot of our work over the phone, but we still get a fair share of walk-ins. People come in looking for a place to rent or wanting to talk about selling their old family home. We know the streets around the college very well. Sometimes the noise from the campus reaches us, but it’s usually quite peaceful up here on the second floor. We keep a stash of biscuits and some tea for when we have visitors. It’s a honest way to earn a living, helping people figure out their housing needs. We don’t put on any acts; what you see is what you get. The walls are painted a plain cream color and there are a few photos of the city from years ago. It’s just our little corner of Sector 17 where the daily grind happens.
