Our spot here in Sector 15 is right on Race Course Road, which stays pretty busy most of the time. Being near Punjab University and the Hari Bhakti Society means we see a lot of students and university staff looking for a place to stay. The to-let service keeps us on our toes because people are always moving in or out at the end of the month. It is a small office, and the walls are covered with notes about which rooms are available and how much the rent is. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking over to the society to show a flat to someone. Sometimes we get a bit tired of the stairs, but that is just how the job goes. Race Course Road has its own rhythm, and we have become a part of it over the years. We aren't trying to be a big corporation; we just like helping people find a roof over their heads that they can actually afford. When the university is in session, the whole area feels a lot more alive. We usually have people sitting on the plastic chairs outside our door waiting to talk about a lease or a security deposit. It’s mostly just us trying to keep the records straight and making sure the keys get back to the right owners at the end of the day.
