Chandigarh Estate Agents is found on the first floor of a building on J C Road in Sector 35. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is always full of cars and people. We have been here for some time now, so the walls have a few scuffs and the floor is well-worn. It’s a working office, not a showroom. We spend our hours checking listings and making sure we know which flats are vacant. Most of the people who come in are locals we’ve seen around before. J C Road has plenty of shops, so there’s always a reason for folks to be nearby. We keep the door open when the weather is nice, letting in the sounds of the market. Our desks are covered in notebooks and printouts of local maps. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don’t use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people find a place to stay or sell a bit of land they don’t need anymore. It’s a steady kind of life here in Sector 35. You can find the stairs to the first floor right off the main road, just look for our door past the main landing area.
