Cafe Coffee Day Sector Thirty Eight

Our place is on the first floor, Sco-312, in Sector-38 D, Chandigarh. It’s right near the G.P.O. area. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us. Being on the first floor gives a bit of a view of the street below, which is nice when things are busy outside. We spend a lot of time wiping down tables and making sure the machines are running right. Sometimes the noise from the street comes in, but mostly it's just the sound of the equipment and people talking. It’s a decent sized space for Chandigarh. We see a lot of students and people who work in the nearby offices. The lights inside are a bit dim compared to the bright sun outside. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just the usual stuff you’d expect in a coffee shop. Some days are slower than others, especially when the weather is bad. We keep the counter organized so we can find things quickly. It’s a routine we’ve got down now. The G.P.O. is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't do anything special for marketing, we just open the doors and wait for whoever comes up. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for orders, then a sudden rush. We just keep the beans stocked and the water hot. It’s just how we run things here. Usually, someone is always checking the milk supply or cleaning the glass.
