We are located at SCO 17 on Madhya Marg in Sector 26. It is a pretty well-known area for people looking to head out for a good evening. Running a bar and lounge is a very different kind of life compared to a normal job. We are usually just getting our day started when most other people are heading home to sleep. The afternoons are spent cleaning up the mess from the night before, checking the drink stock, and getting all the chairs straight. It is a lot of manual labor that people do not really see when they are hanging out here at night. We do not have a big corporate manual or rules for everything. We just try to keep the place looking decent and make sure the drinks are cold for everyone. The staff is a small group and we have been through a lot of busy nights together. Madhya Marg gets incredibly busy on the weekends, so those are always our longest and hardest shifts. We spend a lot of time dealing with vendors and making sure the kitchen has what it needs for the appetizers. It is not always easy work. Sometimes the music is a bit too loud or a light bulb goes out at the worst possible time. We just fix it and keep moving. We are not trying to be the trendiest place in the world. We just want a spot for people to sit down and relax for a while.
