Bhagwan Singh Tewatia

My name is Bhagwan Singh Tewatia and you can find us at shop 3625 in the 23D area of Sector 17. We are tucked right between Hirabhai Market and Diwan Ballubhai Market. It’s a very busy part of town, especially since Bal Bhavan is so close by. There are always people walking around, looking at things or heading to the school nearby. Our spot is small, but it's been in the family for quite some time now. We open up early to beat the heat, though the market doesn't really get going until much later in the morning. Most of our day is spent talking to the other shopkeepers or helping people who wander in. The building is old and has a lot of character, which is just a nice way of saying the walls aren't exactly straight anymore. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. Dealing with the suppliers in the market takes up a lot of our morning. We drink a lot of chai while we work and watch the crowds go by. It’s a good community here in Sector 17. Everyone looks out for each other when things get tough. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It’s just a normal day for us at shop 3625. We like the energy of being near the markets. It keeps things interesting every single day.
