Art & Karat Designer Saries

You can find us over at number 17 near the Chitra Talkies Chowk in Sector 7. Being near the cinema means there is always something going on outside our doors. We sell designer sarees, but the shop itself is pretty down to earth. We have glass cases for some of the heavier work and then just regular hangers for the daily wear stuff. The chowk is a busy spot, so we get a lot of people just wandering in after a movie or while they are out doing errands. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they look through the catalogs. The walls are painted a plain white and we have some mirrors so people can see how the fabric looks against them. It’s not a massive showroom or anything like that. We are just a local shop trying to provide what the ladies in the neighborhood want. Sometimes we get new shipments in and the whole floor is covered in plastic wrap and boxes for a few hours. We try to keep it tidy but business gets in the way. We don't have a big marketing plan. People just know we are here by the Chitra Talkies. We show the sarees, talk about the work on the borders, and that’s about it. It’s a steady way to spend the day for all of us here.
