Our office is tucked away in Sector 45A of Chandigarh, right at house number 856 1. It is a quiet area with plenty of trees, which makes for a peaceful place to work most days. Inside, the rooms are filled with computers and large printers that take up quite a bit of space. We have got stacks of paper everywhere and some old binders that have been around since we first opened this office. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar and a few notes taped up near the light switches. It feels more like a home than a corporate space, probably because of the way the building is laid out. We usually start the day with a quick check of the emails and then get straight into the technical details of the projects. There is a small kitchen area where we keep our lunch boxes and a fridge that makes a humming noise. Sometimes the internet slows down when it rains, so we just take that time to organize the physical files. The furniture is a mix of different styles we have picked up over time. It is not a place for showing off; it is just where we come to do our jobs as consultants. We like the fact that we are in a residential-feeling block because it stays calm. Most of us have been working here together for a long time now and it feels like a routine.
