Akal Road Carriers

Akal Road Carriers is based out of Plot No-26 in the Sector 26 Transport Area here in Chandigarh. It is a busy spot, mostly filled with the sound of engines and people shouting to be heard over the noise of the trucks. We have been in this same spot for a long time, and the walls show it. There is nothing fancy about our office, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of files that seem to pile up no matter how much we clean. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers on the phone or checking if the loads are ready to go. It gets pretty dusty out here because of all the heavy vehicles moving around, but we are used to it by now. The tea guy comes around a few times a day, and that is usually when we take a small break to talk about things other than work. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things work. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it rains and the yard gets muddy, but we just deal with it. It’s just regular work, nothing special. We show up early and usually leave late when the last truck is sorted. It’s just the way life goes in the transport business, and we have made a decent routine out of it over the years. We know the neighbors and they know us, which makes the long days go by a bit faster.
