Chamba Simla Transport Co

Chamba Simla Transport Co is based out of Kondhwa Budruk 35. You might see Chandigarh G.P.O. listed on some of our older letterheads, but this is where you will find us these days. It’s a bit of a dusty spot, especially when the trucks are pulling in and out. The office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We’ve been doing transport for a long time, and the name reflects the routes we used to run more often. Now we handle all sorts of destinations. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights here. We don't have a fancy website or a big sales team. Most of our business comes from people who just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the phones are quiet and we just sit around and talk about the old days on the road. Other times, it's absolute chaos with drivers calling in about flat tires or blocked roads. We just take it as it comes. There isn't any big secret to what we do. We just load the goods and send them on their way. The neighborhood of Kondhwa Budruk has grown a lot since we first started, but our way of doing things hasn't changed much. We keep our records in big handwritten books because that’s how we’ve always done it. It works well enough for us. It is just basic transport work day in and day out.
