We have been here in Sector 19-B for a good while now. It’s just a small place where students come after their school gets over in the afternoon. Usually, the rooms are full of noise until everyone settles down with their notebooks. Chandigarh is a quiet city but this corner of Sector 19 gets quite busy when the parents come to drop off the kids. I remember when we first started, there were just a few chairs and a single table. Now we have more space but it still feels like the same old tutorial center. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise but nobody seems to mind when they are busy solving math problems or writing out their English essays. It is not fancy here. We don't have those big glass offices you see in the city center. It’s just walls covered with charts and a few old cupboards for the files. People in the neighborhood know us by name. It’s nice when former students stop by to say hello after they have finished their college. It makes the long hours of teaching feel worth it. We just try to keep things simple and make sure everyone gets their work done before they head home for dinner. The lighting could be better in the hallway but the classrooms are bright enough for reading. It is just a regular part of the day for us here in the sector.
