A. K. Steels

Our place is over at 127 in Phase-I of the Industrial Area. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a spot like this. Lots of trucks moving around and a fair bit of dust. A. K. Steels isn't a big flashy operation. We have the shed and the yard where the metal gets moved around. Sometimes it’s loud, especially when the machines are running. We’ve been in this phase for quite some time now. People around here know us. We don't spend money on fancy signs or office furniture. Most of the time we're out back anyway. The gate can be a bit tricky to open in the mornings if the rain has been heavy. It’s a straightforward setup. We have a small office space for the bills and such, but it’s mostly just storage and work space. You can hear the work going on from the street. It’s not the quietest neighborhood. If you are looking for us, look for the big numbers on the wall. We try to keep things organized, but it’s an industrial site, so things get messy. That is just how it is. We work long hours most weeks. Nothing fancy, just hard work. It's a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't used to the area. We usually have some tea around four and talk about what needs to be done the next day. It's just how we run things around here. No big corporate meetings, just getting the jobs finished.
