Poonam Engineers

We have been running Poonam Engineers for quite a while now over here in Markal Village. If you know the Khed Taluka area in Pune, you probably know how it is. We are situated right near Sainath Hospital, which makes us pretty easy to find if you are coming from that direction. Our workshop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we get the work done every day. There is usually a lot of noise from the machines and the floor gets a bit dusty, but that is just part of the job. Some of our guys have been here since the start and they know the equipment inside out. We spend most of our mornings just setting things up and checking the orders that came in. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months in Pune District, so we usually take a short tea break when things slow down a bit. People from the surrounding villages stop by quite often, sometimes just to ask for advice or to see if we can fix something specific for them. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of metal and tools get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big project. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know us by word of mouth or because they drove past the hospital and saw our sign outside. It’s a honest way to make a living and we stay busy enough.
