Shruti Infocom

Shruti Infocom is on the Malka Ganj Main Road at A 37. If you know this area, you know how packed the roads get. There are always bikes parked everywhere and people pushing through the crowds. Being on the main road means we see a lot of different people. Many of them are students from the nearby university who have cracked their phone screens or have software issues. They are usually in a hurry. I try to work as steady as I can, but some jobs take time. The shop has a big glass window that looks out onto the street, so I spend a lot of my time people-watching while I work on a device. It can be distracting, but it makes the day go by faster. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing in the Delhi heat. We have a few shelves with basic accessories like chargers and cases, but most of the space is for repairs. The desk is covered in tiny screwdrivers and tweezers. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and my hands just know where everything is. Malka Ganj has a specific energy, a bit chaotic but mostly friendly. You get used to the shouting of the street vendors. By the time I close up at night, the street is finally starting to quiet down.
