We are tucked away on the first floor at No. 7/31 Ansari Road. Daryaganj is a busy place, especially with all the book shops and offices around here. Our office at Computech Publications Limited isn't very large, and it’s usually full of stacks of paper and books waiting to be sent out. We’ve been doing publishing for quite some time now. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at manuscripts or checking proofs. Sometimes the hallways are a bit narrow because of all the boxes stored there. It gets quite hectic during the busy seasons when new titles are coming out. We don’t really have a fancy showroom. Most of our work happens behind the scenes, just typing away or talking to printers. The building is old, like most things in this part of town, but it has character. You can hear the noise from the street coming through the windows all day. It’s a lot of work getting a book ready, and we just handle it step by step. We aren't trying to be the biggest publisher out there. We just focus on the projects we have in front of us. If you come up the stairs, you'll likely see someone proofreading or packing a shipment for a distributor. It’s a simple operation, run by people who have been in the book trade for years. There is always tea around and plenty of reading to do.
