Shri Ram & Sons

Shri Ram & Sons has been operating out of 153 Gaffar Market for quite some time now. Karol Bagh is a place that never really sleeps, and being in the middle of Gaffar Market means we are right in the thick of it. The shop is a family affair, and you can usually find a couple of us here at any given time. We do not have any corporate manuals or big slogans. We just know where everything is kept, even if it looks like a bit of a jumble to someone walking in for the first time. The shelves are made of old wood and they groan a bit under the weight of the stock. We spend our days answering questions and helping people find what they are looking for among the stacks. It gets very hot in the summer months, so we have a couple of noisy fans that do their best to keep us from melting. Our father started things here, and not much has changed in terms of how we run the place. We still use a physical ledger for a lot of our notes because it feels more reliable than a screen sometimes. The tea boy from the corner comes by three times a day, and those breaks are when we actually get a chance to sit down. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but it is what we know and we just keep at it.
