Our shop is at number 31 in the Maha Laxmi Market, which is part of the larger Bhagirath Palace area. If you know the market, you know it’s one of the busiest places in the city, filled with all sorts of trade. Our space is packed tight with products and boxes, leaving just enough room for us to stand and talk to anyone who comes in. We deal with agro-related items, so there’s a lot of inventory to keep track of. Bhagirath Palace is a maze of narrow paths and old buildings, and we’ve been tucked away in Shop No 31 for quite some time. It’s often very loud outside with porters carrying heavy loads and people bargaining at the top of their lungs. We don't have any air conditioning or fancy furniture, just some sturdy shelves and a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years. Most of our day is spent checking stock, talking to suppliers, and making sure the right items go out to the right people. It’s a traditional way of doing business where you know your customers by face. We don't use any complicated software or systems; we just write things down and keep moving. It’s a tiring job being in such a crowded market, but it is the reality of our daily life here. We just focus on the task at hand and keep the shop running.
