Maganlal Babuji Mali

Maganlal Babuji Mali is located at New No. 291, which used to be Old No. 141, on Linghi Chetty Street. If you’ve ever been down Linghi Chetty Street, you know it’s one of those old, narrow roads that’s always packed with people and goods. Our building has been here for a very long time. It has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We mostly handle trading and local commerce. There is always a lot of shouting and noise from the street, which can be distracting, but it’s just the atmosphere of the place. We don't have a big staff. It’s mostly family and a few helpers who have been with us for decades. We don't bother with fancy offices or modern furniture. Our desks are old wood and our ledgers are often kept by hand. We like doing things the traditional way. It’s how we were taught. People know us in the neighborhood, and we like that personal connection. We don't spend any money on marketing or trying to sound like a big company. We are just a local business on an old street trying to make a living. Sometimes we sit on the steps and talk to the neighbors when it's not too busy. It’s a slow, steady way of life and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep doing what we've always done. It is enough for us and we hope to keep the shop running for many more years to come. That is the plan anyway.
