If you walk down Tis Hazari Main Road and stop at 121, that’s me. Rajesh Kumar. I’ve spent more time in this shop than I have in my own house lately. There is always something to do. Whether it’s fixing a piece of equipment or just sweeping the floor, the work never really ends. I’m not complaining, though. I like the routine of it. I wake up, have my tea, and walk over here. The morning air on the main road is always a bit crisp before the traffic starts. I’ve got a lot of regular customers who have been coming to me for years. We know each other’s families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s more than just a business; it’s a community. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when there’s a heavy storm, so I have to put out buckets. I’ve been meaning to get that fixed, but life gets in the way. My desk is a mountain of ledgers and receipts. I keep meaning to go digital, but I like the feel of a pen in my hand. It feels more real that way. We don't do anything flashy here. We just provide what people ask for and try to be fair about it. That’s all there is to it.
