Rajesh Kumar

I’m Rajesh Kumar and you can find me at 142 Tis Hazari Main Road. I’ve been in this particular spot for a few years now. Before this, I was working for someone else, but I decided it was time to have my own name on the board. The space at 142 is a bit narrow. You have to watch your step when you come in because I tend to pile things near the entrance. I know I should clear it out, but I always find a reason to leave it for tomorrow. The floor is concrete and stays cold even in the summer, which is actually quite nice when it gets hot outside. I work with a lot of different people every day. Some are in a hurry, others want to talk for an hour. I try to accommodate everyone as best as I can. It’s just me and the occasional helper. We don't have a fancy uniform or anything. I usually just wear an old shirt that I don't mind getting ruined. My hands are rough from the work, but that’s fine by me. It shows I’ve been busy. I don't have a website or any of that stuff. If people need me, they know where the shop is. It’s a simple arrangement that has worked for a long time.
