Walia Sons

Walia Sons has been operating out of No. 2801/5 in Chuna Mandi for a long time. The street is always full of activity and it can get pretty crowded during the middle of the day. We’ve got our spot here and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It’s a family kind of place, just like the name says. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that; we just focus on what needs to get done today. The shop is filled with various items and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We know most of the people who walk by and we usually say hello. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the daily routine to worry about that. Chuna Mandi is a central place, so it makes sense for us to be here. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. There’s usually a lot of talk and noise coming from the street, but inside we just keep at it. We handle our own stocking and cleaning. It’s not a shiny showroom, it’s just a place where we do business. People come to us because they know we’ve been here for years. We just take things one day at a time and keep the shop running as best we can. It's a simple life for us here.
