Masterex Tech

Our office is in B1/5 of the Erose Apartment, which is at 56 Nehru Place. If you know Nehru Place, you know it’s the heart of the electronics trade in the city. We’ve been operating Masterex Tech from this apartment for quite a while. It’s a bit different from the big shops downstairs because it feels more like a home that turned into a workspace. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with computer components and old motherboard boxes. There’s a constant clicking sound from the keyboards and the occasional beep from a machine we’re testing. It’s a bit cramped, honestly. We have to walk sideways sometimes to get between the desks. The light from the windows is usually blocked by all the equipment we have stacked up. We aren't really into the whole corporate image thing. We just focus on technical problems and how to solve them. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to understand what needs to be done. We keep a small stove in the back for making coffee, which is a life-saver during long afternoons. It’s a bit dusty and there are always scraps of wire on the floor, but it’s a productive environment. We handle repairs and technical queries all day long. People find us through word of mouth mostly. It’s just a practical, local business doing its best in a busy market.
