General Forging

General Forging is located in Anand Parbat, specifically at P-5 in Gali No-10. This is an area known for small-scale industries and workshops. Our place is where the heat and the hammers are. It’s loud, and it gets quite hot, especially in the summer months. We do forging work, which is old-school and requires a lot of physical effort. We aren't a big corporation with air-conditioned offices. We are a workshop with soot on the walls and the sound of metal hitting metal. We’ve been in this alley for a long time. Everyone around here knows the sound of our shop. It’s a small team of us working here. We don’t have a fancy sign or anything. Just the work we do. People bring us things that need to be shaped or fixed, and we get to it. It’s a practical trade. You learn it by doing, not by reading books. We take pride in just getting the job done without any fuss. Gali No-10 is a narrow street, so getting large materials in and out can be a bit of a challenge, but we’ve figured out the rhythm of it over the years. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We show up, start the fires, and get to work. That’s our day, every day. It's a bit of a struggle sometimes with the power cuts, but we get by.
