We work out of the F.F. Complex in Jhandewalan, at address C-33. Our space is dedicated to engineering services and consultancy, which means we spend a lot of time surrounded by stacks of paper and technical manuals. The office is not very large, so we have to stay organized just to have enough room to sit at our desks. It is a very central location in Delhi, which makes it easy to get to, though the noise from the street is always present. Inside, you will find a lot of folders, blueprints, and computer screens. We do not have a reception desk or a waiting lounge; if you visit, you just come right into the main work area. The walls are mostly bare, and the furniture is old but sturdy. We spend a lot of our time reviewing specifications and making sure that all the details of our consulting projects are correct. It can be quite a bit of sitting and reading, which can get tiring by the end of the day. There is a small corner where we keep a kettle for making coffee and tea. We know the rhythm of the building well, from the morning rush of people arriving to the quiet that settles in after dark. It is a practical place for the kind of work we do, and we just focus on getting through our daily pile of documents.
