Finding us is a bit of a trip if you aren't used to the lanes in New Delhi. We are located at 2787, up on the second floor in Gali Gharaya. Kucha Chellan is one of those places where you really have to watch where you're walking. Daroga Pradhan Civil Engineers and Contractors has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. Being a special class contractor means we have plenty to keep us busy, but the office itself is pretty simple. It’s just a workspace with some desks and a lot of paper. We spend most of our time out at sites anyway, but this is where the planning happens. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, but that’s typical for this part of the city. We’ve got our roots here in the 110002 area. Dealing with civil engineering projects involves a lot of back and forth, and being in the middle of Delhi makes it easier to reach different government offices. It’s noisy outside with the street life, but inside we just focus on the drawings and the contracts. We don’t really go in for big banners or anything like that. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us in the alley. It’s a tight-knit community in Gali Gharaya, and we’ve been part of it for years. We just keep our heads down and work on the next project.
