V. M. Engineers

V. M. Engineers is up on the third floor of the Nepal Carriers Building. The address is 4697/3, 21-A, Darya Ganj. If you know Darya Ganj, you know it’s one of those parts of Delhi that is always packed with people, books, and traffic. The Nepal Carriers Building is an older structure, and climbing up to the third floor every day keeps us in shape. Our office is a mix of old desks and newer computer setups where we do our engineering work. Being in Darya Ganj means there is always noise coming up from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time looking at technical specs and talking through problems. It’s an engineering firm, but we don't act like we are in a high-rise. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job with the projects we take on. The space is a bit cramped because of all the files and folders we’ve collected over the years. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while, and we like the history of the neighborhood. There’s always good food nearby, which is a plus for the lunch break. Our days are filled with calculations and checking on how things are progressing. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up at 21-A Darya Ganj and do what we are supposed to do until it’s time to head home.
