G. S. Spring Company

Anand Prabat Industrial Area is a pretty gritty place to work, but that is where G. S. Spring Company is located. We are specifically at 1017/342 in Bgali No.4. If you come by, you’ll hear the machines before you see us. It’s loud and there is a lot of metal dust around, which is just part of the daily job. We make springs of all sorts. Some are tiny and some are heavy, depending on what a customer needs for their specific machinery. The floor is usually a bit oily and we keep the raw materials stacked up against the walls to save space. It isn’t a place for someone wearing nice clothes. We spend most of the day at the benches or checking the machines to make sure they are coiling right. It’s an old building and the wiring looks a bit messy, but everything works the way it’s supposed to for our needs. We’ve been in this part of Anand Prabat for a long time. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a short break to sit down. We don't have a sales team or a fancy office setup with air conditioning. Customers just bring in a sample or a drawing and we see if we can make it for them. It’s repetitive work, coiling wire all day, but someone has to do it. We just focus on getting the orders finished so they can be picked up.
