A C M E Transmission India Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Anand Parbat, specifically at R 12 in Gali No 11. Our building is number 23/6. Even though the name sounds a bit more official, we are a local operation through and through. We work on transmission parts and mechanical components that keep other machines running. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with parts being disassembled or waiting to be put back together, but we know where everything is. It’s a busy environment where the sound of metal hitting metal is constant throughout the day. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just focus on the gearboxes or whatever transmission work comes through the door. The lanes in Anand Parbat Gali 11 are narrow, so we have to be careful with how we move our inventory in and out. Most of our customers are other local businesses who know us by word of mouth. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we are checking an order or a part number. It’s a practical, hands-on kind of place. We value the fact that we can fix things that others might just throw away. Our team is small and we’ve all been doing this for a long time. We open up the shutters every morning and just get to the work at hand.
