Dalmia Cement

This is our spot in Alambagh, over at the Sleeper Ground in Lucknow. It’s a busy industrial-type area, which makes sense for what we do here with Dalmia Cement. There are always trucks coming and going, dropping off loads or picking up bags for construction sites around the city. The ground is often dusty because of the cement, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We have a small office on-site where we keep track of the inventory and the paperwork. It’s not a place for fancy clothes; we’re mostly in work gear all day. The heat in Lucknow during the summer is no joke, especially when you’re moving heavy bags around. We’ve been at this III-13-C address for a good bit of time. People know us as the place to go when they have a building project nearby. We don't have a marketing team sitting here. It’s just us, the loaders, and the drivers. We deal with builders and individuals who are maybe fixing up their own homes. We talk about grades of cement and delivery schedules. It’s straightforward work. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just make sure the cement is there when it’s needed and that the accounts are settled correctly. It’s a loud, dusty, and busy place, but it keeps the city building and gives us a steady way to make a living.
