We are based on the fourth floor of the Uco Bank Building right on Parliament Street in New Delhi. Being in the heart of the capital means there is always a lot of security and noise outside, but once you get up to the fourth floor, it stays relatively quiet. The office is a bit old-fashioned, with heavy wooden desks and plenty of paper files everywhere. We share the building with a few other offices, so the elevators are usually pretty busy around lunchtime. Our daily routine is fairly set in stone. We arrive, check the mail, and start working through the stack of documents that need processing. It’s a lot of administrative work, which keeps us busy from morning until evening. We don't have a fancy break room, so we usually just eat at our desks or head out to one of the small food stalls in the area. Working in New Delhi has its challenges, like the commute and the busy atmosphere, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We aren't here to put on a show for anyone; we just have a job to do and we do it as best as we can. The office has a very functional feel to it, where every piece of furniture is there because it needs to be. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is a straightforward place for straightforward work. We go by Birla Cement Works here, though the name on the directory is formal.
