Cyclook Techies Private Limited is over in West Delhi, at F 16 in Mayapuri Phase II. If you know Mayapuri, you know it’s a very industrial part of town. There are lots of workshops and factories around us, so there is always a bit of a metallic smell in the air and the sound of machinery. Our office is in the middle of all that. It’s a functional building, nothing like those glass towers in Gurgaon. We have a solid door and some heavy-duty desks because it’s a working area. The stairs are concrete and a bit worn down from years of use. Inside, we’ve set up our computers and servers. It’s a bit of a contrast from the scrap yards outside to the technology work we do inside. We don’t have a fancy lounge or anything. There’s a small table where we keep the water dispenser and some plastic cups. Most of the staff comes in from various parts of West Delhi, using the Ring Road or the metro. Lunch usually comes from one of the dhabas nearby that serve the factory workers. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s very real. We don’t spend time on decorations; we just make sure the power backup is working and the internet is stable. Being in the 110064 area means we are surrounded by people who work hard, and we try to do the same.
