Computer Operator

You can find us in Pahar Ganj at 6494 Gali Hanuman Mandir. If you've ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know it’s crowded and full of energy. Our shop is in a narrow lane right near the temple. It’s a very small space, mostly just enough for a couple of computers and some stools. We do a lot of typing and basic data work here. The noise from the street is constant, with bells ringing and people shouting, but we’ve learned to tune it out over the years. It’s a humble spot, nothing like the big offices you see in the newer parts of the city. The walls are covered with old calendars and a few notes taped up so we don't forget things. We open up early in the morning because that’s when people start moving through the lane. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, but we wipe down the keyboards every day. It’s a very local kind of place. We know the tea seller around the corner and the people who come to the mandir regularly. There isn't any fancy marketing here, just a small sign outside that lets people know what we do. We just sit here, do the typing or whatever task is needed, and help out the people who drop by with their documents. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but the ceiling fan keeps things moving.
