Computer Base

Computer Base is over on Shanker Road, 4-B-64 in Old Rajinder Nagar. It's a busy neighborhood with a lot of students and small businesses, so there is always something going on outside. Our shop is quite small, and we've crammed as many workstations as possible into the space we have. There are stacks of laptops waiting for batteries and printers that need parts we’ve ordered. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don't have a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from whatever we're fixing. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or polished sales pitches. If a screen is cracked, we tell you if it's worth fixing or if you should just buy a new one. That's how we've always done things. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We have a small bench outside where customers sometimes sit and wait if we're doing a quick job. It’s not a high-end boutique, just a local spot where we know our way around a motherboard. We've been in this same spot for years, and the walls are a bit stained from the monsoon leaks, but it’s home to us. Just a regular computer shop on a regular busy road, trying to keep things running for the people who live and work nearby.
