Computer Operator/Clerck

I spend most of my day sitting at this desk in Kishan Ganj, right inside the Railway Colony. The office is at 106/19. It is not a very big place, just enough room for the computers and some files stacked up in the corner. Being a computer operator and clerk means there is always something to type or some list to update. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so I just wait it out or organize the papers on the shelf. The colony is usually quiet during the afternoons, except for the sound of the trains every now and then. People come in with forms that need filling or documents that need a quick look. It is just regular work, nothing fancy. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and you get used to the routine of the keyboard clicking and the printer making noise. The address is easy to find if you know the area well. It gets a bit hot in the summer months because the fan doesn't always reach the corner where the main desk is. I try to keep everything in order so when someone asks for a record from last month, I can actually find it without digging through too much mess. Most of the time it’s just me and the screen, making sure the data looks right and the spelling isn't too messy. It’s a job that keeps me busy and pays the bills.
