You can find us on the second floor of the MCD Building on D.B. Gupta Road. Being in a government building means there is always a lot of movement in the hallways and people hanging around. It is right in the heart of the city so the noise from the traffic never really stops. We have a modest office space with several desks and a lot of filing cabinets. The stairs are usually the faster way up because the elevator can be a bit slow or full of people going to the other offices. We are right in the middle of Haryana and New Delhi which makes the commute easy for some of us and hard for others. The windows look out over the road and you can see the buses going by all day. We do a lot of paperwork and computer work throughout the week. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone is talking at once but we are used to it by now. There is a small shop downstairs where we get our snacks and drinks during lunch. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks as long as we have what we need to get through our tasks. It is a practical place to work and we have been at this D.B. Gupta Road location for quite a while. We just come in, do what needs doing, and head back out into the crowd at the end of the shift.
