Avon Beauty Corner

Our little shop is at 10G in Kamla Nagar. If you know this area, you know how many students and shoppers walk around here every single day. We are right in the middle of it. We carry a lot of different things for hair and makeup, mostly stuff that younger girls looking for a deal might want. The shelves are quite narrow, so you have to be careful when you walk through. I’ve been working here for a few years now. It gets really busy in the evenings when the colleges let out. We have a lot of plastic containers filled with clips and rubber bands. Sometimes it’s hard to keep everything organized when so many people are looking through the bins at once. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It’s just the shop floor and a small stool where I sit when my legs get tired. The light at the back is a bit dim, I should probably change the bulb soon. We keep a radio playing some old songs most of the time to pass the hours. Kamla Nagar is always changing, with new shops opening and closing, but we’ve managed to stay put at 10G. We just try to get the new stock in as soon as it’s available. It’s a decent way to spend the day, talking to people and helping them find a comb or a bottle of nail polish.
