A One Unisex Saloon

This is A One Unisex Saloon, sitting over on Arakashan Road in Pahar Ganj. We are at Shop No-7978/6, pretty close to the Ashoka Hotel if you’re walking by that way. Pahar Ganj is always crowded, so there’s a lot of noise and people moving around outside our door at all hours. We get all sorts of people coming in since it’s a unisex shop. Some are locals who live right around the corner and others are just tourists or travelers passing through the area. We have a few chairs set up and the usual mirrors on the walls. It’s a bit of a tight space inside, but we make it work for everyone. We spend our days doing hair, trimming beards, and whatever else people ask for when they sit down in the chair. The lights stay on late because this part of town never really sleeps. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us here most of the time. We try to keep things tidy, but with hair falling everywhere it’s a constant job of sweeping up with the broom. It’s a basic place, nothing too grand or modern. We’ve got the radio playing sometimes in the background to drown out the traffic from Arakashan Road. It's just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come to get cleaned up. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the regular shopkeepers nearby. It’s just everyday work for us.
